Are Family Dinners Impossible With Your Schedule?

FamilyMade Tips:

Fostering Mealtime Togetherness

  1. Family Meals Don’t Have to be Dinner- If your family is only together for breakfast, try that instead!

  2. Plan Ahead for Meals- Knowing what you’ll be cooking saves time & stress trying to look through the fridge and come up with something

  3. Get the Kids Involved- Everyone can help cook to save time! If they’re old enough, have them cut veggies, set the table, fill water cups etc.

  4. Start Small - If you’re new to this, try implementing family dinners a few nights a week and work up to aiming for every night.

  5. Take an Honest Look at Your Schedule- Is there anything you can scale back on to ensure you’re getting quality family time?

  6. Find What Works For Your Family- If sit down meals aren’t realistic, find time together elsewhere! Go on family walks, take a bike ride, set aside family weekends etc.

  7. Don’t Set Expectations- Being together and connecting is the goal, it doesn’t have to be structured or perfect!
